The Fitness Bootcamp

Remarkable Experiences | In Depth

Between each city on our first two programs, we did a Remarkable Experience lasting 3 days. Each one was designed to put you in the "stretch zone" – that area just beyond your comfort zone where the fastest personal growth happens.

The Fitness Bootcamp stretched physical limits and re-calibrated how we ate... take a look at our first one too see how:

We partnered with Fresh Start, the best fitness bootcamp in Chiang Mai, to take us into nature and make sure we got our asses kicked... voluntarily.

They gave us four highly trained instructors to cater to the whole tribe's varied fitness levels – and took care of the whole experience; from exercises to where we trained.

And the schedule they put us through had it all: cardio, H.I.I.T, competition, sightseeing and more...

Day 1

Starting with a debrief from Anton (our lead instructor), we went straight into a world of pain with the dreaded "bleep test" in 30 degree (celsius) sunshine. And if that wasn't enough, we then went straight into bodyweight circuits – as the fitness instructors tried to figure out if we really were as fit as we had claimed (we're a confident bunch!). Still, at least it all happened against a backdrop of one of the more beautiful lakes near Chiang Mai...

After that, we grabbed a light lunch and took a bus towards the mountain we'd be hiking. And what a hike it was – up to the world famous Doi Suthep, via the "Monk's Trail"; a foresty trail where the overhead tree canopy filtered sunlight to bathe us in green light – giving everything an ethereal feel as we overcame waterfalls, log bridges and mud to heave ourselves to the foothills of Doi Suthep.

Ending the hike absolutely shattered, it made sense for us to rest... so we didn't. Instead we went Muay Thai kickboxing, and spent an intense hour training, exercising... and basically trying to hit stuff really hard. We ended the day exhausted but feeling pretty proud of ourselves; and a whole lot healthier already.

You may be wondering why we’d put ourselves through three days of this...

We believe that movement and conscious eating are vital for creating a remarkable life. Looking after ourselves physically leads to massive mental benefits; higher energy, faster learning and, hey, maybe even a little boost in confidence.

Oh, and the bootcamp is suitable for all fitness levels – so no excuses :)
