This is Eugenio Manfredi, fellow alumni from our first South East Asia tribe! Before joining The Nomad MBA, Eugenio struggled with sharing his feelings and often held himself back.
Watch our full interview with Eugenio below as he shares how his outlook to growth has changed since graduation, and how he now invites challenges into his life.
So what’s your story?
I’ve always been a very introverted guy. I wasn’t very satisfied with my life and my job, so one day when I came across The Nomad MBA on Facebook, I wanted to give it a try.
What was the biggest challenge?
I’ve always struggled with how I shared my feelings, so that was difficult at the beginning, especially opening up at the Bonding Weekend. Now I think I can handle it a lot better.
What motivated you to apply?
The need for a change. I also love to travel, so it was perfect. It was probably the first time in my life that I did an application for something that I really wanted to 100% commit myself to and was genuinely excited about.
How did the program change your life?
I’ve always struggled with making decisions. For example, afterwards I travelled to the US and then moved to Berlin for a few months, so now I’m much more relaxed when it comes to decision-making.
How do you look differently at getting a job?
It’s not just about the job itself, it’s also your approach to the job, and life in general. Even in the most difficult situations, try to get the most out of it.
Advice for people applying?
Go with an open mind, and the most important thing is that it’s up to you to set goals and make changes.
What moment stood out for you?
The most emotional one was when we had a game of musical chairs at the Bonding Weekend. I had to talk to Gwen for 2 minutes, but after 30 seconds, we just hugged each other. There was no need to talk.
Is it worth it?
Yes, it’s a great experience!
